The first thing I need to do to find sufficient time, is to be energetic throughout the whole day. But it would remain impossible if I continue to feel lazy and lethargic all the time.
Solution is to wake up in the morning regularly at a specific time. Yeah...its a tedious idea given by many people. But the fact is , its worth it. When we practice this regularly, our internal clock will be auto reset and will alert us on daily basis at the correct time.
Of course, there is a clock within ourselves which regularly alert our internal parts automatically and trigger certain responds. Is it possible to change the internal clock within a day? Yes, its possible. A little amount of sacrifice is required, but not that difficult.
How to fix my sleep schedule in one night?
Not eating for 12-16 hours can help people quickly reset their sleep-wake cycle, according to a study from the Harvard Medical School . One starvation cycle is enough to override the traditional light-based circadian clock, the study suggests.
- Let us assume that I have a habit of waking up daily by 11:00 am and sleeping at 11:00 pm or later. I want to change this habit as it is not giving any fruitful result.
- So I decide on a Friday night that I will wake up at 6:00 am from Sunday onward.
- To make this happen in real time environment, I have to remain with empty stomach during the 12 - 16 hours prior to my scheduled time. That is, I should not eat anything from Saturday 2 o'clock pm.
- I would go to bed on Saturday night around 10 pm and try to sleep. I would keep my mobile, wifi, laptop and all other distracting devices away from me in silent mode.
- However at a point I would sleep. Automatically after that 12 - 16 hours, my internal organs require food.
- Thus, my internal clock will alert me around 5: 30 - 06: 30 am so I can wake up immediately.
- I must make sure that I eat sufficient amount of healthy food as soon as I wake up.
Since after I fell asleep, I have spent almost 6 to 7.5 hours in sleep. And from that day onward, I just make sure that I go to bed by 10 pm to ensure that I will have sufficient amount of sleep/ Now I do not require anyone to wake me up in the morning as I can wake up on my own at the same time daily.
Another important thing to keep in mind is, as soon as u feel awake, you must get out of the bed, because, within a few minutes of time, your next sleep cycle would start which would again reach the deep sleep or Non Rapid Eye Movement Sleep. During this stage if you try to wake up, then again you would feel more lethargy and less active.
